Zombie Quest
Zombie Quest EGA-inspired is a text adventure game where you play as Rutger Schwartenvaldt, a humble DMV clerk who got shit-faced drunk and missed the outbreak of the zombie apocalypse. Now he needs to survive in a world where everything wants to kill him, and all he has is his wit to help him survive.

A graphical text adventure set in the zombie apocalypse in the style of old Sierra On-Line games. The player walks around between rooms and solves puzzles throughout the game by typing commands. The graphics are intentionally as low resolution as possible while still being playable. The graphics resolution is 240x135 pixels, which is an even division of Full HD. Most of the graphics are placeholders, but the style is there. Sound on when you watch the trailer.

Perhaps it is overkill to have a DVD sleeve for an unfinished game that might not even get a physical release. However, it is fun promotional material, and if it is coded in LaTeX, you can reuse it for other games in a matter of minutes.
Rutger
Meet Rutger, he has a ginger mullet. He lost all his personal belongings and he does not know why he is wearing parachute pants. Like in all adventure games, you should not ask questions about how he can fit so many items in his pockets.

The game features 100% smooth pixel animations.

Notice how he does not swing his arms when he walks. That is because he is a weirdo in that way.

Graphics
If you look carefully, you can see that the pixels in the graphics are bigger than the pixels in the text. That is because old games used to trade resolution for color. You simply did not have enough memory and/or storage to have both the highest resolution and the highest color at the same time. A 1-bit color image of the full screen resolution could become a 4-bit color image if you halved the resolution and four pixels became one, and so on. King's Quest 1 is similar in having all pixels be 2 pixels wide. Here we have the pixel in the graphics be 4x4 pixels just to give the game a unique look.
The palette we will use is the full EGA palette. With one cheat, skin color. You can download it for Pain.NET here. For fun we also have the basic EGA palette. The graphics you see in the screen shoots at the moment do not use this palette 100% but keep in mind it is placeholder.

And there will be parrots—colorful, talkative, and wacky parrots.
